Hey my dear beloved friends (: It sure has been a long time since i've last posted and well.. there really has been so much going on!! SO just thought i'd post what's been going on recently..
Haha!! Today marks the end of Christmas D.I.Y camp 2009! Really, there are many things to be thankful to God for :D
Just to share some of my reflections...
Day 1
The thing about YFC camps, are that they never fail to make u step out of your comfort zone.. Even from the first moment u step into the camp site! :P
Mass Activity 1: Back To Basics! Making us run around Woodlands was surely an eye-opening experience for myself as well.. Im and Ang Mo Kio person so i don't really go to such areas!! Haha!! I didn't expect to sweat so much as our group dashed from station to station across Vista Point and Vista Park.. The Challenges were really really interesting and challenging! But ill never forget chomping down on someone's hair while racing to finish the ice kachang (Yech!)
After dinner, we had our first session about the Wrong & Right Perception of Christmas.. This was my favourite session as it really thought me a few valuable lessons... 1) I realise that whenever i try to talk to my friends about their problems, I'm always so preoccupied with trying to come up with solutions(that might not really help) that i fail to really listen to what exactly they are struggling to...
2) Because of that, whenever i try to share the gospel, i hardly noe where to begin as i don't exactly noe how to begin sharing with my friends, my dear friends :\
3) That we don't have to shape the gospel to make it relational to our friends for one thing common to ALL of us regardless of whether we're Christians or not is that we are all sinners! And that everybody needs Christ for the redemption and the atonement of our sins...
4)That we must present the truths about our faith the way it is because our God is perfect and he is sovereign over all our lives!!
At night, we sat together sharing our own personal difficulties and problems with sharing with our friends (: These are the moments i really treasure as i get to see my brothers and sisters from a more personal level and i can grow alongside with them and learn together with them (: I LOVE YOU GUYS!!! Anyways, im really really REALLY tired right now... So, I'll catch you guys soon :D Will continue Day 2 tml :P
