I thank my Father in heaven that each day i hear or read from His words, that i might even begin to understand and comprehend the implications it has in my life. We so often forget how that everything is by the Father's will and enabling, that suddenly we find our confidence is placed in things that are of this world. Our methods, our talents, our intelligence, our practices, our character, our values, our inclinations all suddenly become what guides and determines our life. Sometimes, it even becomes the confidence of which we assure ourselves our lives will work out.
Then the question surfaces: How can we place so much confidence in all these things, when we don't even know if there'll be even a next day or next moment from this point of time to carry them out. How do i even know my next breath will not be my last or that the metal structure above my head will not bring my demise? Only with the assurance that everything will work out according to God's will and purpose dare i say that every move i make i make in Him. For everything was created by Him and for Him.
One thing that i've learnt in my time in project serve is that God's character is consistent and that whenever we are trying to see something from God's perspective, we must never put Him at the same level as ourselves ( considering the fact if our level is even significant enough to be measured against His) .
One thing i would like to remember, is that being called to God's family is both a privilege and a responsibility. Father, I thank You for granting me even this small grasp of Your word, being able to even clinch a hint of the extent and extend of Your mercy, grace and love which abounds so abundantly free and so freely abundant. I thank You that it is really not by man's standards or by any good works that we are sanctified, but by Your own will that we are sanctified and being sanctified, thoroughly being equipped to do every good work for Your people, Your will and Your purpose. Amen :)
